Sweat & Reset – Mexico Yoga Retreat

Join Tarra and Brittany for 6 days/5 nights of yoga, sun, relaxation and adventure in Puerto Morelos, MEXICO! We will offer 1-2 yoga classes a day, 3 group dinners and daily brunch prepared by our own private chef, and optional excursions to choose from. As you escape from the cold winter weather, this retreat will allow you to press pause on your daily life, and enjoy a fun vacation with a mindful twist as you relax and reset. Yoga classes will be focused on Hot Yoga Vinyasa Flow and Yin/Deep Stretch with additional workshops and meditation on select days (classes will cater to all levels).

Begin the day with an energizing yoga practice followed by a healthy wholesome brunch on our rooftop terrace. Then spend the majority of the day relaxing the Mexico beaches with your favorite frozen cocktail, snorkeling the second largest coral reef in the world, exploring the Tulum Ruins or Cenotes, or just reading a great book on the hammocks by the pool at Casa Om. Unwind with a Deep Stretch class before family dinner and the rest of the night is yours to spend how you choose.fullsizeoutput_36ec

Retreat Includes:

  • 6 Days, 5 Nights at Casa Om
  • 1-2 Yoga Classes per day (including Hot Power Vinyasa, Yin, Deep Stretch, Back bending Workshop & Meditation classes) *Yoga classes will cater to all levels
  • 5 Brunches & 3 Dinners (Healthy, wholesome, locally sourced family-style meals on the rooftop terrace prepared by our private chefs (special dietary restrictions are easily accommodated))
  • Transportation from Cancun National Airport (CUN) (Arrive between 1pm & 5pm on the 17th & depart between 10am & 2pm on the 22nd)

About the Teachers:

Tarra first fell in love with yoga during college and her love for the practice has evolved in so many ways over the past 8 years. She was attracted to hot yoga for the detoxifying sweat release and the physical challenges as well as the opportunity to slow down, be present and enjoy the flow rather than trying to have it all figured out (on and off the mat). As an athlete and a runner, yoga helped alleviate her chronic back pain, while increasing her range of motion through strength and flexibility. Tarra enjoys teaching for the ability to share her passion for yoga with others, and hopes to inspire her students in ways that so many teachers have done for her.
She completed her 200 RYT Training with Grace Morales in Charlotte, NC during 2015 and has since completed additional intensives with Irene Pappas, Daniel Rama, Patrick Beach, Steph Gongora, Erin Kelly, Carson Clay Calhoun, Adam Whiting, Jaimis Huff Flynn & Jennifer Busco. Tarra attended her most recent training at Casa Om in October 2017 and fell in love with the space so much so that she was inspired to lead her own retreat here. She currently teaches weekly Hot Power Vinyasa classes at Charlotte Yoga in North Carolina and at local breweries around town. Check her out on IG @QCyogi.foodie for her upcoming classes.

Brittany discovered yoga after graduating college in 2012. At first, she was looking for a way to continue to build the strength and flexibility that she had always had from being a dancer her entire life – but yoga quickly became more of a life practice for her when she realized the mental benefits of it as well. After practicing herself for almost 5 years, Brittany decided to pursue teacher training when she relocated from Buffalo, NY to Charlotte, NC. Being a part of the yoga community in Charlotte was one of the main things that made her feel at home in her new city and she wanted to bring that sense of community and connection to other people through teaching.
Brittany completed her 200 RYT in May 2016 under the teachings of Jaimis Huff and Jennifer Busco, as well as completing her Deep Stretch certification in December 2017 with Ashley Masters. She has since completed additional workshops and trainings with Patrick Beach, Carson Clay Calhoun, Kerri Verna, Adam Whiting, and others. Brittany currently teaches Hot Vinyasa and Deep Stretch classes at Charlotte Yoga and NC Yoga Bar.
